Subnet Scout

Privacy Policy

Subnet Scout is designed to inspect your local network without sending scan data to the developer.

Data collection

Subnet Scout does not require an account and includes no analytics or advertising. The app does not transmit personal information or network scan results to the developer. The developer does not receive or store your scan data.

Local network access

To discover devices, the app communicates with addresses in the IPv4 range you choose. It uses local network protocols such as ICMP, TCP, and Bonjour. Results can include IP addresses, hostnames, advertised services, and open common TCP ports. On Mac, results can also include best-effort MAC addresses and vendor names. iOS and iPadOS do not expose that information to apps, so it is unavailable on iPhone and iPad.

Storage and exports

Scan results stay on your device. When you choose a sharing or export action, only the selected information is passed to the system sharing or export workflow. Basic app preferences may be stored locally by the operating system.

Sharing

Subnet Scout does not sell or share your data with the developer, advertisers, or data brokers. Actions that open or share information with another app are handled by the operating system and are subject to that app's behavior and settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new revision date.
